The Denorios Belt is a charged plasma field in the Bajor System where at least five of the mystical
Bajoran Orbs were discovered. Bajoran religious beliefs held that the Celestial Temple, home of
the Prophets, was in the belt, and many Bajorans interpreted the wormhole as being a
manifestation of the temple itself. The Denorios Belt was characterized by unusually severe
neutrino disturbances. Ships have always avoided the Denorios Belt.
